Check this out, I didn't know they made them this early. It doesn't even have a flathead in it.

My question is what were the 3 vertical holes on the side of the radiator sides of this tractor used for? The casting was designed to have these holes drilled out and tapped but none of mine were ever done, mine are later models. The parts book only refers to the part as 2990 DB and 2990 DB No.1 for the shutter. They drilled either 10 or 4 holes in the front for the curtain or shutter models. Any ideas?

Don't know what they are for. I just checked out 3 of my radiators, one of them has the holes and the other two don't even have provisions for drilling them. The one that has holes came to me with a cultivator mounted, don't remember if something associated with the cultivator was mounted there or not.

Would be interesting to find out what they were for.

He did not say it was a 1930, he said circa 1930, which is fancy talk for about 1930. So it is appearantly mid 30s, with the overhead valve engine and grey paint.

Anyone want to buy two fully restored f12's for $2750 each. They are both red.
