I purchased a 1948 Cub. I water blasted the ugly orange paint from the tractor and came down to white paint on the frame, bell housing and the front steering linkage. I was told by someone if there was white that it was most likely a demonstrator. Can anyone tell me if this is a demonstrator or not? The serial number is 48908. Thanks for any help you can provide.

No it isn't. It's two years and more than 50,000 serial numbers too early.

Maybe some of the parts are from a parted out demonstrator.

Frame?
