Just checking if you found any pictures of an Industrial A? I have one IAA 168994 which I painted yellow in 2002. I found an interesting article in the Antique Power magazine back in May/June 2002 Volume 14 Issue 2 page 60 - 64. The article shows very detailed pictures and excellent write up of a yellow 1944 IA. I found it very helpful when I redid mine.

Both the chasis and engine will have serial numbers that begin with IAA. The heavy duty square front axel also has a brace back to the transmission on the right side. The foot throttle is also unique to the AI. The Industrials were all Internationals, the A's and AV's were Farmalls. They were also equiped with an internal transmission brake to facilate shifting on the go. Most Industrials did not have a belt pully attachment.

Well mine has the foot throttle and the serial number starts FAA-1orI. The trans brake would be neat to have. It also has the brace and a 4in round axle. When its done I'll try to get some picture on here. Thanks

Shaggy, an A industrial will have a square tube front end. In addition, it will have foot throttle, located next to the clutch and brake peddles. Also it will have a serial number prefix of "IAA".

Happy Tractoring, Ken

i too have an a-industrial. i can't find any info on mine. it runs fine all day without a load, but with a load it sputters to a stop, but will start right back up. i've replaced everything on the danged thing, but nothing helps. was there some sort of rev limiter or safety feature to prevent them from being pushed too hard?

An industrial A will usually have a squared front axle and a foot throttle, otherwise, not much different.

Mine has a solid round front axle and short spindles. Just curious if there was a picture of another one. Thanks Shaggy.
