The teeth on my starter bendix are worn to the point that the starter frequently does not engage. The ring gear has very little damage. My local IH dealer is useless. Anyone have an idea where I can obtain an original, 11 tooth bendix?? The 'thing' that IH wants to sell me only has 10 teeth and does not even resemble my bendix. (the original is the old type with the big flat, exposed, spiral spring. Thanks in advance, Ed in 'ole Virginny

You need to stick with a dealer if you want to keep it original... go online and find a junk yard that deals in old farmall tractors i know here we have Tipps and Campbells and allso there is one called hillbillies in dickson i know is online i saw it the other day they will ship to you... check it out... also on ebay you can find people who have things like that for sale
