First off I hve to say man Im glad to be back from vacation. Second, if any of you guiys head to Myrtle Beach, SC for a get away you need to ride up to Nostalgia City/Whales. Its a sounevir shop / museum, and was the ONLY place I didnt want to leave. They have some old cars and some old tractors in there, as well as the usual beach junk, but fun to visit.Anyways, I picked up a few of those reproduction sings there and was wondering if any of you hang them outside and how they have held up over the years. Im thinking of hanging the new ones and some I got as gifts over the years up in the pole barn.

If you hang it in the shade it should last. Noticed anything with red paint (thermometers,IH signs, etc etc) tend to fade real fast if exposed to alot of sun. Other colors seem to hold up tho.

where is this place? Sounds like fun. I just got back last weekend from a week there. We needed something like this, too hot on the beach a couple of days. WE'll go back for a long weekend after labor day. Would like to see it.

thanks steve

17 South past the airport, about 3 or 4 miles or so I think from the remants of the Pavilion, maybe a little further. Big sign says WHALES, the the Nostalgia City sign below it.

John, some of them hold up real good and others won't last the year. I have a Farmall collectors parking only sign on the side of my shop that looks as good ans when new. I also have one that was given to me by my mother that has a picture of an M and say's for easier, faster farming. I hung it right beside the other one and it looks like a faded AC tractor now, almost faded to white.
