Im wondering if I can swap a dist. with a live hydro pump from an H and put it on a W9? I have seen counter clockwise mags out there for the W9, but I am wondering if it matters for a distributor? any help would be great.. thanks

By chance does anyone have the part number for the correct W-9 gas distributer?

No you cannot use the distributor from anything other than a W9, 650 or 660 as the advance does not. It retards. I know. We used the wrong one and ruined a head and piston. You have to have the correct rotation!

the live pump from the h wont fit the w-9. you need one from a late m thru a 450 gas for the 9 engine. pretty sure the counter clockwise mags are for the wd-9.

The gas engine and the diesel engine in the 9 series both have the same rotation. Why? Because they both have an idler gear.

Distributers cannot interchange due to different advance curves. Pumps can interchange. Both engines use the same pump which is also the same as a 6 series diesel.
