Farmall 140

On the 144 cultivator it came with the tool bars that both pointed to the right (if you look at it from the seat). You could also get one that pointed to the left. My cousin had his set up with the arms that pointed in the two directions and I wanted mine like his on my SA. I happaned to have one of those bars from the 140 to use so I got it mounted. He had warned me about the shank hitting the oil pan but I kind of forgot. When I started the tractor I heard the sound of metal hitting metal. I remembered his warning then. Oh well, its on the bottom of the oil pan and no one will ever see it. lol

Lots of neet things you can get for the 140.

I'm just buying a fertilizer unit for my SA and he said the mounting bolts are missing. Are those bolts need for mounting on all of the offset models [it came off a 274 but he measured and says it will fit the mounting holes on my SA]??

Where can one get them? From Case-IH dealers only? Or do they have a common name so that a good bolt store could get them [in other words, what would one ask for?]?

I finally got some from Sam Adams for $10 each. His number is 903-836-4688. Make sure you tell him to send the 5/8 and not the 3/4 ones he has.

Sam Adams had some of the fiberglass fertilize hoppers too if you needed one of those. Didnt check the price tho.

Do you have the seed drive that goes on the final drive?

Dont know about the 247 tractor. All I know are Super A's and 140's.
