I made up a new fuel line for my IH 154 Cub Lo-Boy and can't get it to seal 100%( trying for months) at a new IH Sediment bowl. I am using an IH ferrel nut and the ferrel won't compress tight enough around the new fuel line? Any ideas? Can I use a regular ferrel? I don't want to overtighten the fuel line at the sediment bowl. Thanks!!

I stopped mine from leaking, by getting the ferrule back on the line, and sliding it about an inch farther back. Then I took a round tapered chisel, and tapped it into the line to swell it a little. slid the ferrule back forward, till snug. I added some loctite thread sealer on the threads, just to make sure.
