battery acid spill

Hi all' over the weekend I took my sa out for a ride around the farm when I got back I saw a little drip on the ground and took the battery box cover off and found a lot of acid had come out of the battery top [12 volt] its a new battery.do you think its over charging or did it just spill out of the caps from driving on some rough ground. it didnt come out when seting still and runing. any addvice? thanks

Could be overcharging. Could be that the battery was overfilled. How high is the fluid level in each cell? Do you have the battery securely held down? Clean up the area of the spill with water and baking soda, or you will soon be buying a new battery box.

I would check the charging voltage at the battery
using a volt meter. Should be around 14.5 volts. You may be overcharging. Hal
