Well guys, I'm selling my 300u. It's on ebay with a very thorough description and lots of pics. You guys have helped me so much and If someone from here offers me a good price, I'll take it off the bay. I live in Fostoria, OH. I'm also posting this in the classifieds. Oh and I knwo its in the wrong category, but screw ebays $20 listing fee in agriculture, what a rip.

Jay, if you do not see the money you want, send me an e-mail...we can talk.
How far are you from the Indiana line? I will be up that way next month.
I can add it to the herd I have here in Texas.
Be better if it had PS, but that's ok too.
Let us know.

I see you put it on ebay with no reserve. Pretty gutsy move, I think. What do you need to get out of it to cover what you got in it? I'd be interested for the right money. I am close to you also.

sorry you have to sell the old girl, I hope yopu get your price for it, as far as ebay goes how is the listing price any different in the farm section as opposed to where y ou put it?? I wasnt aware that there was a drastic $$ change in categories [except ebay motors], doesnt the $$ go up with listing price and the amount of pics and whatnot,, maybe I missed something, good luck with your sale, I would have put farmall in the listing,

technically if I put farmal in it, it is a policy violation because of a false "keyword". Also, just some of the categories in bussiness and industrial have $20 insertion fees, like agriculture.

It's at 760$ right now, 37 watchers and 8 days left. I'm thinking it will bring what I got in it. Got a guy coming to look at it.

I don't know why you're getting rid of the old girl, but it would be worth the 20 bucks to put it in the right category. You'll probably get more for it because the right people will find it. Just think, if you'd get another 500 bucks, then what's 20 dollars! I've seen things listed in the wrong category bring less than they should. I guess when I get on, I search for farmall, cuz thats all I'm interested in. Its very possible that someone could be selling a very nice tractor and I would never find it if they didn't use "farmall" anywhere.

Yeah Goerge. For some reason when I have the type of personality, if I own something I want to learn as much as I can about it, If I dont, I loose interest real quick. I really wish this thing wasnt so big and heavy. I'm looking for a smaller style, or a loader for the old JD110, but thats got issues all of its own I'm not sure If I wanna tackle. I really do appreciate all of your guy's help. Maybe you'll see me on the garden tractor board, altho its too diversified and the knowledge is too dispersed. Who knows. I just dont have the drive to get on the farmall board anymore =(.

I';m hoping to recoup my investment, altho I know its not likely. Kinda sad that I dont come on here anymore, but I guess my blood isnt as red as others. I have much respect for IH and still speak highly of them. Maybe I'll find me a nice little 284, but I doubt it. I just want something that does what I want it to do without a 15,000 price tag. Retirement is more important to me then any tractor. Hoping to use the funds from this to buy me something to move dirt.

Jay-

If you"re looking for another garden tractor to at macth your JD110 you may want to check out a nice JD 318 with the johnny bucket or JD 44 loader on the front. I like my farmalls, but I do have a JD 317 with a number of attachments that is a little monster around the yard..

But then again I would like to get my hands on a super A, 100, 130 or 140..

26red, I agree, I'd be happy with a high number JD. However, the johny bucket is a joke to me. First, it has a linear actuator, and those are junk. If they can lift 500 lbs rated and u use them at that, they go to heck in a handbasket. Tey are wear parts, gears and so on. Hydraulics are totally different. Besides I need something that can lift dirt higher then 2 feet. and dont get me started on the price =P

I'm sure they have their applications, but mine isnt one of them.

Yep, I would rather go with the all hydraulic model myself. But for the money you could easily build one of those kit loaders from CAD plans... been thinking about doing that for a while now. So what kinda of loader tractor or skid-steer rig are you looking at?

26Red, I am in the market for one of those offsets myself. There are plenty of them around here, but the banker ain't in agreement with my decision. I have gramps's 1950 Cub, but it is a tad small for my taste. I want one just for gardening. I already have a 1 point fast hitch 2 row planter and a 1 and 2 bottom plow to fit one along with a mechanical transplanter. I just need the tractor. One day when the banker ain't paying attention I will slide one in here.

Jay, maybe you should consider a C or Super C. These are great little tractors. The Super can even be found with the fast hitch. There are also loaders that will work on them.

goerge, seems I'm not too fond of the narrow fronts. Even if they are more nimble. I still fear unless I find something with turf tires, my yard will suffer.

Maybe you should consider a Cub Lo-boy. Lots of those were fitted with turf tires. I know where one of those is now for sale, but it is in Ky. They also made loaders for them and fast hitch. I have never operated the Lo-boy, but I do have a regular Cub and they are easier to roll over than any tricycle type tractor. That was a great ebay add by the way. Have you ever thought about a set of turf tires for your 300?

If you find a wrecked combine with diamond tread tires you would be getting into very affordable turf tires
