Didn't put it there on purpose! Tractor belongs to a neighbor. It was last used about 2 years ago, it had mostly water in radiator and he didn't get it drained on time. No signs of outside cracks. I got it going this year but noticed oily film in radiator. Drained it and hoped for best but after using it yesterday it was down on oil and there was a heavy film in radiator. Is there any simple way this could happen? I don't see any oil cooler in radiator. What engine is in the 656 diesel? Would a later diesel such as a 666 fit in it?

The diesel has a oil cooler left side behind frame rail.

Does this engine use a lube cooler? If so, the trouble could be inside the cooler. Have seen this problem on truck engines since oil pressure is greater than pressure in the cooling system, any leakage will pass oil into the radiator

The 656 probably has the 282cid engine and the 666 has the 312cid engine. You may have a pin hole in a sleeve. Hal
