Is there an IHC museum with a large collection of some of the rare ih tractors and artifacts in chicago.... i have a real interest in old drawings...concepts...etc. Is there a museum near the original factory or something like that??

Don"t know if it qualifies as a museum (what is necessary to be called a museum?) but there is a huge collection of cars, trucks and tractors in a huge complex of buildings at the south edge of Willmar, Minnesota. Lots of red tractors, but several other colors too. Cars and trucks are of several makes.

I also believe there is a privately owned museum somewhere in Iowa. If you get Red Power magazine, I believe I saw an article in there recently about the museum. If you like, I could give you the exact location and phone numbers if you wanted them.

The Wisconsin Historical Society has all the old IH records, books, drawings, etc. Very interesting collection. They have some of it posted on their site. Just do a search for "McCormick Collection"
