how much does a working 9 speed add to a tractors price? i have herd 1000 or more. what u think?

Johnnny: All I can tell you is what I have observed by watching ebay sales and comparing tractors equipped with 9-speeds to similar models not equipped. I would say from $500 up to $1000 maximum. Sometimes it is hard to tell, since tractors with 9-speeds also seem to often have wide fronts and other desireable options.

The downside of having an old farmall with a 9-speed conversion is finding parts should you ever need them. In some areas of the country that may not be a problem, but it sure is in other areas. mike

Don't know what it does for market value, but it doubles the useful value (in my mind). None around here though.
