The two control valve rods leak oil bad. The manual looks like the seals can be replaced but don't show how to go about it. Do you remove the hyd head or can the seals be replaced from the other end. Has anyone here done a job like this? Would appreciate tips on how to go about it. I assume the seals and gaskets are available at the IH dealer.

Wayne: There is a kit from CaseIH for rebuilding these touch control units. The cost is right around $100. It comes with excellent instructions.

You will have to lift the unit off and get it on a work bench for this. It is money well spent.
