I hung the motor on the H. Put on the rails. Put on the front wheels and set out to put on the magneto. Bong...the engine will not turn. Backwards and forwards just a little...not much.
So, off comes the bloister, the rails and the engine. I had lost one of the flywheel bolts. I took out the one I replaced. The engine turned. It was 1/16 longer than the others and was sticking through and hitting something. Fixed that and put it back together.

So, the moral of this story is, MAKE SURE IT WILL TURN OVER BEFORE YOU BUTTON IT UP!!!! There is even a hole in the flywheel for a rod to turn it. Mechanic work. I think I will stick to lawyering.

After rereading your post those bolts should have a warning about the length also. David.

Tom. I'd sue the bolt maker of that bolt for not having a warning sticker. WARNING. THE HEAD OF THIS BOLT MAY NOT FIT ALL APPLICATIONS. David.

Put a new clutch disk in an A once... put it all together, clutch won't release. Take it apart (split) and everything looks just fine, button it all back up again, clutch won't release.

Finally took the parts into town and discovered that the new disk was not compatible with the old pressure plate!

And, also did the same thing as you with my H engine, but I turned it before putting it all together and avoided the double-split job. Live and learn...
