Some a$$hole dosent wanna pay for gas..... well neither do I. But i would never go around to farms smashing locks and if there is no gas they smash ther filter, valves, gauges and barrel! Well i'm kinda like the tractor vet..... I got some 7.62's for there a$$. I only use it 3 days a week..... are they feeling lucky??? It takes eather a retard or someone will balls to go onto a strangers property in the country, as there are guns and farmers who shoot first and assk ?'s second. (like me) plus there are dogs that can rip them a new a$$hole. Here is the descripton of the truck doing it in the zumbrota/ goodhue/ wannamingo areas in south east minnesota... Little ford ranger young kids inside... din't get the color but they have hit at least 3 tanks in the last few weeks. so if your in the area be on the look out!! If they come to my place they will wish they never did. as i probally wont them.... but if you have ever herd the sound of a semi auto ripping 7.62's you know what i'm talking about! keep an eye out!

Something I forgot about was Sam was part of the local "good ol' boys club" where Bob was a man that had a hard time just holding down a simple job.
It was a firend of Bob's that pushed for a trial or Sam would have walked free longer than he did.

Hi jonnny2006,

I just read a true story about a guy in Arizona that was killed for his dogs barking. I made up the names as I can't remember the real names but the story was on 60min? Dateline

Bob is camping in the woods with two dogs. The camp is right off the forest service road.

Sam is hiking on a trail that appears the trail leads upto Bob's camp. Sam is packing a 10mm semi-auto pistol using factory hollow points "for protection".

As Sam gets close to the camp, the dogs hear Sam and start barking while running towards Sam. Sam fires a warning shot into the ground at the dogs so "he doesn't get bit" This puts the dogs about 50ft away from Sam still barking.

Bob here's the shot and starts running towards Sam, "screaming". Sam is telling his version and says Bob says 'I'm gonna kill you" Bob is unarmed.

Sam then turns his weapon on Bob and triple taps Bob in the chest with the 10mm as Bob said "he would kill him"

Sam looks at what he had done and try's to help Bob but see's it's a loosing battle but made Bob comfortable as he could before leaving to get help as his cell phone would not work in that area.

After 1/2hr of walking, Sam flags down a motorest and sends them for help.

Bob dies, Sam is convicted of manslaughter. It was very close is considering first degree murder but I think the judge stopped that.
Interviewing jurer's afterwards, they had a problem with Sam's
1: 10mm as that was a larger calibur than cops carry

2: Why was he using hollow points? To make sure he killed Bob?

3: Bob had crossed his arms over his chest by the time the third bullet was fired.

4: Why did it take so long for Sam to walk to get help. It was a 15min walk back too Bob from where the motorest stopped.

After watching the TV show, it was plain to see Sam did not like to meet dogs on his walks. To me Sam needed some time to really think what he did but the surprise was how the jury preceived Sam's instentions based just on the weapon and bullets he carried. I think that Sam got really lucky first degree murder was not a factor.

I thought you guys might find it intresting on the out come of firing on someone unarmed. Arizona is very liberal on there laws for self and home protection. My son also stated that's why they can't carry reloads in their service weapon, because of the jury.

10 mm is what the FBI changed to for more stopping power.

please be aware that in most instances (99%) firing at a thief who poses no threat to you directly will land your butt in jail for quite a long time....

Now if on the other hand they decide to come in the house and confront you that is a different situation... If you escalate the situation it is on your hands... especially troublesome if Minn. does not have Castle Doctrine...

use a level head... cameras work better than bullets for theives in the yard... I have no wish to see the world go by from the backside of a jail cell.

a friend of mine is loosing gas out of his backyard and he suggested that we cam out and watch with some of my "other" toys of the semi auto variety. I told him that was a bad idea cause firearms can make a simple scene deadly complicated not too mention all the trouble that can happen should the law get involved. i thought a better idea would be to put one gallon of gas or less mixed with 4+ gallons of water/sugar whatever. that way he'l know who it was.

I'd be mightly slow to go around talking about how you'd love to gun down someone for any reason. Those are just the type of character comments that a prosecuter loves to seize on if you ever get caught up in litigation involving defending your property or family. Even if you are up against it and defending yourself at night after a break in, you can easily find yourself in the legal fight of your life and can expect to pay 30,000 and up to establish your innocence even if you are found innocent of any legal penalty.
No doubt about it, being robbed, vandalized or ripped off to say nothing of being assualted is as aggravating as the devil, but justified or not, shooting someone is going to change the rest of your life. Do yourself a favor and take steps to avoid it.

he prolly didn't mean he wanted to kill them but scare the $*&^ outta them, maybe catch them and turn them in. my grandpa had the same problem back in the 50's, he fired a few rounds in the air, his saying was"Well i got a few gas cans for free!" ;^) amd he never had anyone steal gas outta his barrel again. sounds like a hastle but i say fix up that barrel and fill it up with water mixed with a little gas, then buy the gas as you need it in cans. i bet they wouldn't get too far if they came again! :)

I did not say i would shoot them. i would let a few rounds zip there way though. trust me if someone my breaks in my house I WILL SHOOT 1st ask questions later. I don'r care if it cost me my freedom or all my things i have in life. I will not allow someone to come in my house and violate myself my wife or my kids. As far as property is concerned it can be replaced. I never said i will shoot a person just cause there on my property.... but trust me if someone wants to take the chance and rob from me then the person stealing from me can experince what its like to here a few live rounds zipping through the air. I excersize my 1st amendment right to bear arms. I do only use my gun 3 out of 7 days..... the thives can guess which 3.....

Johnnnny: It sounds like you might be just a little upset. Hey, don't do anything stupid that you will pay for the rest of your life. Life in the slammer for 5 gallons of gas? Not a good deal for you, bud. I know how much satisfaction it would give to shoot up their truck or explode their gas tank and watch their truck burn to the ground - or, maybe just ram them and wreck their truck. But, don't take any chances with a firearm. You'd be just what the liberals were looking for - to make an example out of. And if a deflected bullet killed one of the little punks, well..... us old tractor types don't look good in horizontal stripes. mike

I remember when this was happening on our farm in Iowa. One day Dad had me pump all of the gasoline out of one tank and put it in the truck tank and then fill the gas tank with water. It was easy to catch the thief after that. Surpsised to find out it was a so called good friend. I love my Dad for this. No shots were fired. Justice served.

How about setting up a game cam somewhere overlooking the tank. You would have to conceal it but that shouldn't be to hard. Then you will have proof to give to law enforcement so they can catch them .

my gas barrel is a ways in from the road plus you have to look hard to see it. i have dogs that will bark load and i will be able to get the licence number. plus i have been parking my truck in front so they cant just stick the hose in the tank. plus it has a diesel nosile on it so it cant fit in most tank fill holes. I don't run the gas in my car or truck as if i did it would need to be filled all the time. plus i would have to use a funnel to allow the gas in my truck. I has to use a can one time and put in 3 gallons as it was real late comming home and i din't have my wallet and i wqould have run out on the way to town. I wanna get my diesel running as they just sip fuel compared to the gas M. I have over 500 gsllons ready for her as i don't burn it foe home heat no more. its no 2 amoco premire. The md should love it! its a in grond tank that hold 600 gallons all i need is a pump for it. my dad has one i can stick down the hole and crank by hand that will work as then no one will see it!!!! I also have a 250 gallon above ground diesel barrle that i used to use for heating my shop. It is too expensive now adays and electric is cheeper than diesel for heating. mabey not as cheep as propaine but thats getting up there too. I switched out my 70 gallon electric water heater for a propain one.... mabey it wasent worth it with prices 1.49 and up for lp. its nice as i have the 500 gallon lp tank hooked up to my grill! Cook all the steaks i want and no little tanks to deal with!!!! plus its alot cheeper as they charge 18-22 dollars for 5 or 6 gallons at the stores.
