560 Gas - newbie questions

Please pardon my ignorance but I"ve got some basic questions that I"m hoping someone can help out with. I purchased a 1961? 560 gas Farmall at an auction sale and I"m trying to figure out how to properly maintain it. 1. Where does the Oil go in this machine and why kind/type does it use.
2. Where does the hydraulic fluid go and what kind should I use?
3. It has a PTO system and I"m wondering what type of fluid I should use to maintain that and where to put it.
4. Is there a drain plug somewhere so I can change the oil?

Thanks in advance for your help and I apologize in advance for the amateur questions. I just don"t want to screw up such a fine piece of machinery.

Don't try to "figure out" how to properly maintain it. Get yourself an owner's manual. It will be the best money you spend on the tractor.

This site sells reprints. I believe the manual for this tractor is still available from CaseIH directly too.

Carefully look over the tractor from front to back, especially on the bottom. You'll see all sorts of drain plugs, level plugs, fill plugs, and dipsticks. The manual will tell you which one does what, but at least now you know where they are, and knowing is half the battle.

If you order an operators manual from this site (Tractor Manuals button at the top left of this page, click "Farmall/International," enter "560" in the Model box, click "Search" and scroll down to 560 Gas R/C. (R/C is Row Crop, and refers to the Farmall model you say you've got, as opposed to the International, which is more of a utility tractor shape.) It's only $29.95 and should tell you everything you need to know. They're pretty good about shipping at YT and you should have it within the week. There will surely be things that need clarification, and we'll be happy to help.
Good luck with your 560, one of my all-time favorites.
