Behlen power steering problem

I still haven't gotten the power steering to work on my 300. I bought it off of a guy on e-bay last fall, got the special controller (safety valve and metering valve combined in one big, heavy red component that bolts on to the steering column support. I think that the metering valve - the one that makes sure that the power steering motor gets sufficient pressure - isn't working. How does one test/fix/look at this thing? Is it the gizmo (that's a technical term used by guys like me who don't know what they are talking about) that is held in by a "c" clip?
Thanks, Texp

Yeah, I got the inside control and the 'u' shaped tube.

There is a small plug in the inside remote that plugs the return. The shop that added PS to my 350 had trouble with that (it had fallen out and they put it in the wrong side). I didn't see it apart, so I'm passing along what they told me. D Stater, who monitors this forum helped get mine going.

Did you get the inside hydraulic valve and the U-shaped jumper line that goes from the hydraulic valve to the priority valve?
