I'm getting ready to install some tisco pistons in a Super C block, and as far as I can tell there are no indicator marks to show which way "front" is. Do these pistons not have a front?

Thanks Mark D.

Is the wrist pin centered? If not, the offset goes to the thrust side.

If they are a High-compression, or stepped head piston, make sure they go in with the raised part of the piston to the right-hand side of the block. Otherwise, they will hit the head.

They are stepped head, but the stepped head is centered in the piston, not off to one side like the fire craters.

I never encountered a set of step-heads that were centered. You need to compare the pistons to the head and see if the raised part of the piston has room in the combustion chamber. There is usually only one way they can go in and not hit the head. At least it's been that way on the ones I've seen.
