Anyone ever use any of those block sealers to fix internal cracks? Not talking about Bars leaks, I mean those more expensive ones. My 42 runs great but makes butter, I would like to buy another year before I tear into it. Any luck?

About 4 years ago I had M that was getting coolant in oil. I was never able to tell exactly where it was coming from but was able to tell it was coming from bottom of block put in 2 bottles of Prestone heavy duty stop leak and 4 years and several hundred hours of work later it is still leak free in fact have never had to add any coolant.

i doubt the k&w will work like you want it to.. it might work for a few days but not long tearm (one year) you might as well put the money you would spend on a band aid and just get it fixed right. you will be much happier

Put in a can of K&W BLOCK SEAL but DO NOT follow the directions. In other words leave it in and do not remove.Do not expose the coolant to air once you do this except to check the level of the coolant.CENTAUR

no easy fix.... i dont know of a band aid that will fix somthing like that for a year. might as well change the oil every day and run water in the radiator. but it is nice to get it fixed right so you can add anti freez and distilled water and then your good to go. putting in well water has lots of disolved solids and slowly ruien the radaitor. just fix it you will be happy. where are you in minnesota? i/m in the south near rochester.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will try the K&W stuff. I know the whole fix it right routine but right now cash and time are an issue. To answer your Q johnny6 I am in the Taylor"s Falls area.
