Thought some might like to see the results of a sale I went to yesterday. I would estimate that a good 1000 to 1500 people were there. I have posted pics of the tractor and the price it brought. Based on what some on here have said about sales in their area may want to consider bringing tractors to Tennessee to sale.

I am going today to look at 10 Farmalls that a man had to purchase when he bought some property from the owners. He says he wants to sell so hopefully he didn't go to this sale and think that is what they all should bring. They are all suppose to run but one of them. I'll let you all know more later if interested. David

I was there as well. Nice to have the pictures. I could not believe what that JD 720 brought! ($11500) Also, the $4650 IH 140 was very nice, a 1977 model. It was a shame though that the sold it without the complete Fast Hitch. Only the final drive brackets, the rear rockshaft and the lift arm to the front were on the tractor. Most of the rest of the parts (Still not all of them) were sold separate as was the sidedresser for it. Good for me though, as I came home with the batch of fast hitch parts. Also the drawbar for the other 140 was sold separate. I did not see mention of the Farmall Regular "kit" in ETNFarmboy note. The Regular was in pieces, apparently in the midst of restoration. Looked like most of it was there, but the engine was out of it completely dissassembled. Looked like a reworked crankshaft still in the wrapper from the machine shop, along with new sleeves and new rod bearings, etc. It sold for $950. There were 4 farm wagons piled high with tools, parts and other stuff, but I had to leave before any of that sold.

Thanks for sharing good pics in reply to ETNFARMBOY, 06-10-2007 06:12:31
ETNFARMBOY, thanks for sharing. I appreciate your "filling your viewfinder with your subject" i.e. the subject is the tractor(s) and I didn"t have to get out a magnifying glass to see them. The nice even light helped you out a lot also. Yup, pot-bellies, some goofy headgear - pith hats - I call them safari hats - litter on the ground, bib overalls trying to hold in pot-bellies and the top side buttons aren"t :>), if you hadn"t have given us a location, I would have thought it was Wisconsin :^) good luck on your "tractor venture" today.

The auction I bought my M and H at in western IN this spring had simillar prices, but there weren't any MTAs or supers there. A real rough looking and cobbled but good running Ferguson to30 brought over $3300 with a finnish mower on back.
