Been working on fixing a couple tires that are on an H. Well there are 2 hole drilled in the cneter area of the rim about 2 inches from the hole for the stem. What in the world are these holes for?? Both rear rimes have them but I can't see what they would be drilled in the rim for.
Thanks

I have two front rims off and was painting them today...so, I went to see about holes. No holes in mine but the block on the outside of the rim looks like it is rivited to the rim. I suspect your anti slip blocks are missing.

The holes are for rivets. There are two blocks of metal about an inch square that are held in place on the rim by the rivets. The blocks mate with a "notch" in the outer circumference of the wheel for a positive drive. I have one H with them still intact, one H where they are rusted away, and an M where they are welded to the rim instead of riveted. Bob

Maybe were the stop blocks were riveted. Does your rim have any?

Well on the rim I have off right now it has one stop block so yep probably missing a stop block and that would be why it has those holes then. Thanks
The centers from the H are going on a 340 and then the rims also will go on this 340. 36 inch tires in my area are like tring to find hens teeth but 38s can be found
