I parked by H way back off the road in some trees on my 40. Some jerk found it, took by Corisica Mower, left tires and wheels and hydralic hose. They also unbolted the hitch off my H and removed the exhaust breaking the manifold in the process. This just makes me so mad. The bad part is I suspect they just took it to take to one of the local scrap yards. Finding another hitch hasn't been easy either.

So they took your mower, hitch, and exhaust?

Are you sure they took it for scrap? Becasue that stuff is heavy, but it's not like its copper or anything. HOw much could all that bring in scrap, maybe $100 on the outside?

I'd keep an eye on eBay and Craigslist, see if your stuff comes up "for sale."

Tractor Vet I absolutely agree. Bait those suckers in and burn'em down.... Low lifes like that should not be allowed the oppertunity to breed and create more slime to suck up air good people could be breathing.. Tallperson

I made a police report. I went to the two local scrap yards. They let me walk around and look, but there was pile after pile. Both scrap yard owners said that with junk so high theres a lot of that going on now. One scrap yard owner told me I could have the hitch off the next H they got in, but I found one in a hedge row today. The guy sold it to me for $30.00, have no idea if thats a good deal or not, but I don't have a lot of choice. I tried to buy the whole tractor but he wouldn't do that. Oh well nothing left to do but put her back together.

Forgive me here BUT if it was me i would fix it back up and leave it in the same palce and camp out about 500 hundred yard away with my one as shell we say toy that has a night scope along with a laser and let that SOB come back , it would be the worste case of suicide ever recorded . or they would NEVER find the body. I had a problem back in 88 with some hard core drug dealers planting Mary Jane on the back side of a farm that i was renting . The way i found out was that one night i went down to mow hay and a car was blocken the lane . First i thought that they were just fishen the creek . Well i have a real short temper , after screamen and yellen for fifteen min. and nobody showen up to move the car i dropped the haybine off in the bushes and went after a chain at the other farm . . My intent was to DRAG that car out of the lane and thru the cow gate and park it down in the creek in three feet of water . well it took me a while to get up and back with said chain and support as i was comming thru the covered bridge this car is leaving and two scruffy looken dudes in it . I wrote down the plate number and gave it to a cop friend of mine to run . The car was a Chevett But the plates came back to a Lincolon from a county over a hunder miles from me , also the cop told me that don't mess with them they are bad boys . OH realy don't tell me that , first off i ain't wright all my duckys don't walk in a stright line suffern from delayed viet nahm stress sydrome these Bozoz ain't going to get the upper hand . well this is no B/S ya can ask the neighbor farmer i gave them boy's and education on a FIRE FIGHT and to this day take ya down there and you can see for yourself as there is still over 400 rounds of brass layen on the ground . They never came back .

I know what you mean about low lifes tresspassin. The tractor shed roof at Dads woods has 3 deer slug holes and now I have major repair job ahead to fix a rotted main beam. BUT get this one.just last early spring I was leaving the woods over there about 40 miles from where I live and a beat up old van was parked down next to a deep ravine right next to the road that people had been dumping sheet metal and junk in for years... Really looks like crap down there. This scruffy looking dude and his "ol lady" looked like they were dumping more junk down there so I went by and called the cops. well I didn't hear back from the cops for a few days and when I went back down the road that ravine was totally cleaned out! They were dragging that stuff up and putting it in their van to haul to the scrap yard. In that case it was a good thing. But If I catch them back on Dads place with my wood splitter and F-12 and M on a trailer I will do more than call the cops.

I would call the local scrap yards and have them keep an eye out for your stolen items or even have the police call them. Old tractor parts should stand out and easy to identify. I hope you get your stuff back. Good luck.
