I have a ih544 gas I just rebuilt the carb now when I have it at full throttle it revs up then revs down to where it should be when it revs up the motors really flys is there some thing wrong with the govenor??? oh when I screw in the idel screw It does nothing I did something wrong but not sure what there. any help would be great Jerm

Jerm,

Anytime you take that carburetor off, you have to resynchronize the governor linkage so that they work together. If not, the carb tries to speed it up and the governor tries to pull it back down again in a never-ending cycle.

Get your IT manual out and go thru the steps just like it says. It will probably straighten out that idle problem too.
