I recently bought a W-400D IH and was wondering if anyone would be so kind to tell me what types of oil this machine uses in the rear diff, trans. Hydraulics and engine. Waiting for manuals to get here but can"t wait to start working on this nice piece of machinery... Thank you

Thank you for your help, I assume any TDH oil will work?

Not sure what TDH is.

I made an error on the hydraulic. It has its own reservoir. Hydraulic or tractor fluid goes in their. I would prefer hydraulic oil.

I assume it has a TA. That means tractor fluid in everything but the motor, air cleaner, radiator, and choice of beverage. Case-IH brand name is Hy-Tran. It is also available in dept stores most of the time.

"the rear diff, trans. Hydraulics" all fill from the same point which is the plate next to shifter. Or you can pump it in the left side of the rear frame where there is a 1/2" pipe plug. That plug is your level check.

For the engine oil I would use 15-40.
