Farmall H-No oil getting to the top end.

Thanks for the ideas and thoughts. I dropped the pan and found the problem. There is a plug in the side of the oil pump shaft. Well, there is supposed to be a plug in the side of the oil pump shaft. After pulling the pump down, checking the cam gear etc.,and then while cleaning the pump, I noticed that the plug was missing. It worked out for some unknown reason.

You should've primed the pump after cleaning it and then installed the pump. Hal

Hal,the oil pump on the H is completely submerged if the oil level is correct. There is no need to prime it. The plug mentioned above is for cross-drilling to the relief valve chamber.

It's best to prime any oil pump. Hal
