I have broken two pullers trying to get the arm off of the front axle, though they were from an auto house, cheap I suppose, but I still can't get it off. It is within 1/8 inch from the top of the spindle top but does't want to bugde. any Ideas?

If you are talking about the guide arm that has a bolt through in take the bolt out and drive a chisel into the split and it should lift off.

Jimmy: 100% effective every time, drive that chisel into the split and you lift it off with thumb and index finger.

Unless he has a Scwartz, I think they are different.
