New problem. Never happened until I read about it in this forum, I think. Belts are fairly new, but twist around and threaten to come off. Alignment looks real good. Any advice appreciated.

sometimes a new belt will do that just take it off and flip it over and reinstall and problem will go away. its also important to have belt realy tight as your owners manual will tell you thats the biggest problem of belt failure.

like old said be sure you are running the right belt. i tried belts from berry bearing on my woods mowers and on my old cub cadet deck belt. they wouldnt stay on. seems like the belt angle is different or something, but when i put the dealer belts on, no problems.

If you are talking about a Woods belly mount mower, the belt is supposed to be installed with a 3/4 twist on the left side, and a 1/2 twist on the right side, or the other way around. If the belt is not installed properly, it will not stay on. I speak from experience.

All the belly mowers I have seen on cubs have an odd ball belt on them. The belt isn't a V type belt but more of a round sort of belt so it can't twist no matter what
