48 C governor removal

Yes, me again. I thought I would pull the governor on my C as there is almost no response to throttle position or load changes. Is it necessary to pull the radiator in order to get at this? It looks pretty difficult to get at all the governor housing bolts.

no it is a little tricky but you can get it out. jusy be carefull and DO NOT remove the gear that the wts are on or you will get the timing off just work the housing off carefull and dont lose the spring loaded pin thats in the shaft.

Thanks Gene. Unfortunately I did not get your post in time and of course, like the dope I am, pulled out the weights and the magneto drive. I carefully put it back in and the tractor did eventually start but obviously I have to go through the retiming procedure as it sounds pretty retarded. Something like me.
