I have noticed that the letter "h" is five letters past the letter "c" and the letter "m" is five alphabet letters past "h"?

They had to have a model for each tractor.

Jonnnny, the 3F was the M prototype.

Sorry guys...I grabbed the wrong code on that picture. The 2-F and the 3-F look more H than M with the steep steering shaft angle...the F-22 on the other hand looks to be heavier than both others. I think the 2-F and 3F are prototype grandfathers to the H more than anything.

I'll have to check it out on the Wisconsin State Historical Website I guess.

couple of those pics scream oliver to me...
all these "why" questions are good reasons as to befriending someone in a nursing home. the workin stiffs from the past surely have more answers from real life, than any historian could make up with an educated guess!!!

I saw a picture of that along with a Farmall G in a book once. The story I've been told is that they started at A and the letters that were not produced were just prototypes or perhaps merely just an idea. Some of the letters never made it past the drawing board. Thats why you have A,B and C. They are basically the same tractor, just configured different. But most of the components of an H and an M are different. Different engine, different gears and alot of the other main stuff.
