I was just wondering...

First the Farmalls (H's, M's etc) came out with the tall oil filter, then on some of the later models, they put on a short filter. Why did they change that? I would think a larger filter would filter better?? Why did they change it?????

it probally had everything to do with making there parts more universel. i would think the bigger filter would increase your oil capacity and that is a good thing. but i dont know if it would filter any better.
