Bought a new oil guage from here for my H, but when it came the line to the block is really thin, way more than the one that's on it, looks
like 14ga wire out of romex. Is this right? Or for a different model?

Thanks,

Brian

If you have a universal (not like original) oil gauge, the line is usually made thinner so it can bend to be used on other models. It will work just fine.

Oil pressure guage, or temperature guage?

Well, I got both, but the water guage is fine, it's just the same as the one I took off.

They were out of them when I ordered it, had to wait about 6 weeks or so for it.

Are you asking about an OIL PRESSURE gauge, or an OIL TEMPERATURE gauge? mike

I've never seen a new oil pressure guage that came with the line except fot those aftermarket add-on units that supplement the idiot light.

This is a new replacement gauge with the thin copper wire.

That guage is what I am talking about. It is a universal fit accessory type guage. An O.E.M. replacement oil pressure guage does not come with new line because it is built to use the existing line.

I never seen him mention that he bought an O.E.M gauge. thats why I thought if he has a thin oil line, he probably has the universal gauge.
