Can that front input bearing be changed without pulling belly pump on the H? And also is there a space big enough for fragments of the front bearing to get into the rear end? I guess I may have to bite the bullet and change all the bearings in the trans and rear end. The inside axle bearing was not sloppy, but it is a bit rough so I suspect they all will be. I have tried to get under it 3 times today but the rain keeps stopping me. Figures, I build a nice big barn with a concrete floor and am still working on stuff outside in the puddles and mud. Tractor is up on blocks with the axle off so can't move it right now and there is a nice big puddle under it with a fair amount of gear oil mixed in. Ummm looks like butterscotch pudding!

Don't really know, but dropping the belly pump will certainly give you more room to work.

Go get a couple of those cheapie plastic tarps from the farm store, throw 'em down under the H and go to work. Big ol' sheets of cardboard also work, but they eventually will soak up the water.
