F-20 Heisler OD removal

I’ve got an F-20 with Heisler Over Drive. The input seal on the OD is leaking, and I’d like to remove the unit, replace the seal and check the bearings as it has kind of a growl moving fast in high range.

It is attaché to the transmission by two bolts in the wholes that hold the cover for the top transmission bearing cover.

My question is, does anyone know if it has bolts threaded from the inside of the transmission to the OD. Or is it held on by two bolts?

Thanks,

Scott

If this is the heisler cast iron trans that gives you 8 speeds, there are the two you can see, then after you remove the front cover there are 6 more inside. You gotta take the shifter shaft and gears out before you can get to some of the bolts. Be very carfull when you take it apart, and watch where things go, don't let the syncronizer ring come off the hub, there are 6 springs, and 6 ball bearings under it, and a real bear to put back togather. There are no bolts to be removed from inside the tractor trans. And if its like mine you gotta unbolt and shove the engine and radiator forward enough to get clearnce.

Yes, the ones I have seen will have bolts inside after you take the cover off. BUt I hardly ever see 2 alike so without pictures it is hard to tell.
