JUST BOUGHT A 986, HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE 3PT, IT HAS A LOADER AND IT WORKS JUST FINE, BUT THE 3PT WILL NOT LIFT A BALE OF HAY???? THANKS FOR ANY INFO.

Don't know nothin' 'bout those closed center hydraulics if that in fact is what your tractor has.

However, if your tractor has the old gear type pump, that symptom is pointing directly at the cylinder/piston/seal under the seat, as both the remotes and the hitch run off the same darned pump.

Maybe one of these big dogs will jump in here and help bail ya out. It just plain sucks when that hitch won't lift right!

THANKS FOR THE INFO , THIS IS THE FIRST IH I HAVE EVER OWNED SO IT IS ALL NEW TO ME, I THINK MY TRACTOR IS A 80 OR 81 YEAR MODLE.

If you have closed center hyds, the sensor check in the remote valves will affect hitch or visa versa.
