2606 carburator problem

I have a 2606 that acts like it runs out of gas after about 2-3 minutes. I cleaned out the glass bowl, and the line going to the carburator but it still does the same thing. The carb is an updraft carb. If I take the carb apart, what should I be careful of as I have never taken one of these apart? Would spraying carb cleaner through it while it is still on the tractor cause any problems?

sounds like your not getting gas thru the carb. take the line off at the carb and have a jar or can ready to catch the gas and see how it flows out of the tank. it should come out the size of the line hole. If not check the tank for crap over the hole. also make sure it is not the cap being pluged so keep that off. good luck! also if you think its getting good gas check the coil and condenser.

Thank you. I will give that a try before I take the carb off.
