How much oil do you use in a 1954 SMTA? Also, how much trans oil?

8 quarts for the engine.
You don't need an extra quart for the filter.

Two galon PLUS one qt. for the filter. don't forget the filter it takes one qt.

I did forget that filter. I don't have a Super MTA so I looked in the book to see if it was different than my Ms and it was not, but still forgot about the filter.
