Can anyone please tell me what the specs call for to use in this tractor? It has a manual 4-speed F/R shuttle trans with high/low range and a locking differential. Looks like one fill for all, am I right? The people at NAPA try to push gear oil on me, but it does not seem to be what I drained out of it.. Please help.

Thanks. This may sound ignorant but isn't HyTran hydraulic fluid? Or is it both? Sorry, I'm new to this.

Great, thank you in reply to the tractor vet, 05-30-2007 19:30:46
I got you, thanks. I was under the impression that the torque converter was operated by the same fluid as the loader/backhoe hydraulic cylinders.. Or can you use HyTran in the L/B hydraulics as well? Is HyTran commonly available?

Yes it works for everything. Hy-Tran is available at any CaseIH dealer. If there is not one close you can use equivalent oil from other companies. It will have a compatability chart on the buckets.
