My Char Lyn ps system on my SMTA still blows fluid out the vent washer on top of the reservoir
even after I replaced the return hose. I have checked for air leaks throughout the system. It starts this leaking process after it warms up. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with it? The pump is relatively new, the filter is also new, the torque motor has been resealed. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Char Lyn on a SMTA. Sounds like the same type set up. Mine does not blow fluid out the reservoir though. I don"t know why yours is doing it, but if you want me to check mine to compare to yours for anything, let me know. Actually, I don"t recall a vent washer on the reservoir on mine. I believe on mine the reservoir lid is spring loaded. It tightens down with a wing nut and there are one or 2 flat washers under the wing nut. Doesn"t seem to me that it really vents at all there, but I haven"tlooked at it closely for some time. I had to replace the pump seal once. Was losing a lot of fluid there. Had to replace the seals in the torque gen last year. Seems to be working good now. Where is the reservoir on yours mounted in relation to the pump?

could be the gasket on the cover of the ps pump, or the gasket under the wing nut that holds the lid on is leaking. only other thing i can think of is maybe there is too much fluid in the resevoir and when it heats up it expands and overflows.
