I am looking to put a Turbo on our 766 International tractor. Where is a good place to start looking for the manifold and turbo. Did IH put this motor “DT-360” in any trucks? Our primary motive is more for noise control than horsepower. These tractors are extremely loud and almost unbearable to operate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jeff

I'm not sure if the horse power rating is the same or not but I have a DTA 360, the HP on mine is rated at 190 HP. It Would a fun tractor but left that way it might be a bit much for 766.

Yes but the truck manifold realy is not going to do you a lot of good here as the turbo sets on the side and not the top as what ya need for a tractor . SOOOoo if ya want to put a hair dyer on it your going to have to MAKE up a turbo mounting . IMHO it is easier to write the check and get a tractor with a turbo then to put one on and end up with other problems along the way.

They put them in smaller trucks, but I don't think they ever put a DT360 in a tractor.

I may be able to put you in touch with someone who has a DT360 truck manifold and turbocharger.
