I am just wondering if any one on here has a tractor with the X19 serial suffix code? what is the special tramission consist of? i have seen ones with low low and fast 4th but never a special transmission. i have a h manuel and i don't recall seeing a special tranny. does it have more gears or what? what is so special about it? X19 means special tranny.

I don't know for sure but always suspected it was for transmissions equiped with non standard parts. Parts not listed in regular H parts book. For companys that used the chassis for special purpose use.

Guy Fay probably knows, if he sees this. But, I'm not sure it means anything, and it just may be another designation for low speed 1st and/or high speed 4th. I also notice that X22, X22A and X24 refer to the wfe in various configurations. Anyone ever actually seen these codes? They could have easily been stamped on at the end of the production line, but were they? I would guess that they weren't as the axle is easily recognized, whereas the X19 or others would remain in hiding until you drove it. Other parts such as the J for Rockford clutch are invisible and without the J would not even be recognized until the clutch, etc was removed.
