I would like to know if anyone knows the value of this tractor. It is a 1948 Farmall Super A with a foot throttle and square front axel. It is in pretty good shape I cleaned it up to to paint the tires are in good shape. I heard that with a foot throttle and square front axel that it was worth more than a standard Super A. Is this true and how much more. Thanks for the help.

With the tractor clean and no problems and the tires in pretty good shape, would it be fare to price it at 2,000 dollars. Anyones advice welcome. Thanks a bunch.

If I was in the market for one I might pay more for the International version, simply because there were fewer made and they are somewhat different. But condition determines the price, and they are NOT rare. Many highway depts used them along with a couple of Allis models.

I agree. I don"t have the foggiest idea what it is but I"ve never seen a Super A that looks like that.

That's probably the Industrial Super A. The military, state and county roads used them. It may have yellow or Olive Drab paint beneath some of the paint. Here's what they found on a Fairway 12 when sanding. Hal

It sounds like what you have is not technically a Farmall Super A. It is an International Super A, or what is sometimes refered to as an "industrial" model. In the case of the Super A, the foot throttle and square axel are about the only real differences from a "Farmall" version. It may have an "International" decal on the hood and the serial number prefix would be "IAA" instead of "FAA".

These were built for such things as roadway & mowing maintenance, but many were used on farms too.
