Okay, okay, so I lied.

It's 37 degrees out with a 15 knot wind. Got to go cut hay and will use the 966.

(It has the cab) :>)

Allan

It was 90 here on Friday and may hit it again today. Very dry too. We could've used some of that rain that hit Kansas. Hal

All the rain was east of us. No significant rain in western KS since late March/early April. Except, our NWS station (10 miles away) got 1.87 a couple of days ago, we got maybe 0.1.

Close to 90 here for last few days. I wish I had a 966 with air on it. Don't matter the oldest son is going now to run the baler. I get to to lolly gag around. Got out of unloading any today. A guy came this morning and got what I had on wagons. Two more coming this afternoon with their own wagons to get 6 loads. I get to collect the money. That is the best thing about these square bales, I can sell all I can get baled. Don't have to wait until fall for a payday.

That's even better when you don't have to handle the bales anymore. Just collect the money. Hal
PS: I serviced our central air conditioning today. Won't be long we will need it when the
hot humid air arrives.

Humidity has been creeping up here for the last 3 or 4 days. It is close to miserable during the heat of the day now. Really nice of the night though. This hay deal ain't going to last, one son took a job in town and the other tends to come and go. Comes mostly when he wants or needs something. I have had a hard time with him. I keep hopeing he will see the light, but I don't know. He is baling hay right now, I just don't know how long it will last.

He may need a hitch in the military. My nephew
can't seem to hold a job very long. He thinks he's an expert and wants to be in charge. My brother and I tried to get him to go in the service. It's against his religion, too bad they dropped the draft. Hal

I tried to get him to go, but no luck with that. It would have been the best thing for him, if he didn't get killed in Iraq. I believe that all 18 year olds should be required to serve at least two years. I served 6 and am glad of it. Would go back now if I wasn't to old and fat to take all that running again. I tried to go back after 911 and was told I was to old. Seemed at the time they wouldn't take anyone over 35. I can't run like I could then, but I can shoot. I will never forget my time in the Army or the friends I made. Every generation of my family on both sides has served as far back as I can trace, but looks like it will end with my boy's. My Grandfather on moms side is buried at Normandy. My step grandfather was wounded there as well. My grandfather on dads side fought with Mac in the Philippines. My dad served in Germany and I have been to Germany,Korea and Grenada.
