Can anyone tell me the order I need to tighten the Head Bolts on my H Farmall Head Gasket?

I have always noticed that tightening sequence on heads from lawn mowers to tractors to automotive engines are about the same. I'd snug them all down, then beginning at the middle and develop a pattern that works toward both ends and alternating sides going up in steps of 20 lb until the last 10 lbs. Then do that pattern twice on the final torque to be certain. Wouldn't do any harm to check them again after running a while to warm up the engine to operating temperature, but after she is well cooled off. Good Luck. get your specifications from a service manual. Don't have mine handy, or I'd tell you what they are.(Found this in earlier discussions:On torquing the head, start in the center and work out in a circular motion to tighten down the bolts. Someone mention tightening them in 2 or 3 steps. Example, torque all to 50, then 60, then 70. Expect to retorque the head after a couple of hours of running time.)
