this is continuing my post yesterday. i went out this morning to start the tractor (fully expecting to have to jump it)and it started up in two cranks. what gives. a friend told me this could be a coil problem. that when the coil gets to hot after the eginge is turn of it could short out.

Coil breakdown with increasing temp is a clear and common ailment. If you run it for a half hour or more and the coil is too hot to touch, replace it. Make sure your fuel cap vent is open. Get a new free gas cap (search for Free Gas Cap in the window above). Heavy number 00 battery cables will help roll it when it is warmed up. Good luck, JimN
