G'day

Hope all is well.

I am hoping that some one might have a copy of the flow diagram for the raising and lowering of the lift hydraulics. I am having a concern with the position lever. My work shop manual only has a complete flow chart not specific to the rear end.

The flow diagram could also be one for an IH 2756 or IH 766 as they are compatible.

Any help would be appreciated as I am unable to find one here in Australia

Sorry about that.

It all started with the 3pl. While I was working away the linkage started to raise and lower automatically I new I had a leak. The linkage would try to pick the implement up but would drop again after half way. This would repeat over and over, I had the local mechanics haul it back as I had to go back to work.

It was obvious the oil was dumping and some of the orings needed replacing. The guys did that at the work shop & replaced any other orings that didn’t look right…..
All leaks stoped.

When it was reassembled the position lever would only allow you to raise the linkage when you put the lever in the low position and then pull it back all the way to the raised position. Once you attained the position you could stop it. How ever if you had implements on you could not raise the 3pl any further because you would have to lower it first. I mean you couldn’t lower the position lever because of the implements. I hope im making sense.

It’s hard to get a manual with a flow diagram that showed the lower & raise of the lift hydraulics.

The mechanic pulled out the cylinder assembly for the draft control, valve assembly for the drop control and the valve assembly for the draft control.

Any help would be appreciated

I would say that your problem is in the draft sencening part of the linkage or ya are having leakage in the lift cylinder . I have noway of scannen any pictures and putting them on here for you . Pull the top link plate off and look in side the rear end up at the system and see where any leakage may be comming from . Also check and look at the long arm comming up from the bottom on the right hand side and the one comming down from the top, the top one SHOULD be on the back side of the bottom one . and IF the clamp on the bottom came loose or the top on jumped over to the side or this is out of adjustment . Ya need to get a I T manual for this tractor and i know it does not have everything in it about them but it is better then worken in the dark. And since i can not make a Road Trip service call to help ya out at this time it is the best i have to offer. Oh one other thing your Drop poppet valve may be sticking .
