As I rember H's didn't they tend to flood easy until you got use to how they started? Very touchy. Armand

Next time you're done with the tractor, turn the gas off under the tank, & let it run until it quits from fuel starvation. Be sure to shut the switch off. Then,--- next time you go to start it, turn on the gas & use a small amount of choke & see if it starts better. I suspect you have a gas { flooding ] situation from the needle & seat leaking a small amount. Happens on my brother's H.

I suspect a good carb cleaning might be in order. If there is dirt and or water in the carb, they will often act this way.

well if it is the coil or condenser thenim just going to stright up put an electronic ignition in it and not have to worry about it again but it will run as long as i want it to at any thottle so i figured that the condenser or coil would cause it to stop running when it got hot mayby im wrong but the plugs are fairly new ill try leaning out the carb today and see if that makes a difference thanks everyone

i dont think its the coil or condenser becuase it does start and then it runs perfectly with no misses or anything and has plenty of power it just takes longer to start then it did in the winter but the thing is during the winter it was kept in a heated garge so im wondering if its just the carb settings

Pat, if the carb is set too rich or theres an inlet air restriction cuz the air filter is clogged or the chokes not full open she can black smoke out the stack which can foul plugs fairly easy causing hard starts or a miss. If you havent already its not that expensive to install new plugs (gap correctly) n points n condensor and then adjust the carb n see what happens. In the meantime you may get by to clean the plugs n clean n re gap the points n adjust the carb leaner n see what happens. None of this is rocket sciene or very expensive, a good general ignition tune up n carb adjust may well be all you need

Don't use so much choking when the weather is warm. Try just a partial choke and if the engine starts quit choking. Hal

Sounds like a bad coil, and or condensor those can cause that issue, cause in the winter the coil was cooled by the air and now the airs warm the coil is overheating and thus leads to now spark.
