Bought 2 F-20's from a 80 year old gentelman today.
They have been sitting in his barn for 20 some years and he said it was time to get rid of them because he was not able to work on them any more

The one that run has a v belt for the fan and a electric starter on the left side and also a overdrive gearbox but looks more like the one on my f-12. It also still has the shutters on the front of the radiator. The back tires are shot but he has three with 25% tread that were bought ten years ago that go with the deal.

The other tractor he bought for parts and didn't know if it would run or not. I gave $400 for both of them. I don't know if they were worth that much or not but it is a done deal now. Dave

Remember this deal you got from an 80-year old man when you go to Church tomorrow.

What a disingenuous thing to say.

I'm a tractor idiot anything outside of my 300u, and even I can tell ur they are worth that and more. Not that you should ever consider scrapping them, but anytime you can get a tractor for scrap value (which is about what u gotthem for), its a good thing. Even in the unlikely event u notice some big cast piece broke and you almost have to part it out, you will get your money back and then some and some from scrapping the broken part out.

I dont want another tracotr, but sure as heck if I could get tractors for scrap value, I would definitely have a salvage yard, haha.

Once again, I repeat, scrapping out a tractor (other then broken unweldable cast parts due to structural concerns) should be illegal!!

There is someone out there who does or will needs parts, just a matter of time.

If anyone has considered taking a tractor to the scrap yard, put it in the paper for a bit over what you would get for scrap, it will sell, and you won't have to haul it.

I advertized in the Western Antique Iron Trader for 3 months (Farmall F-12 parts) got one response and sold one item for $30. Loaded up the 2 F-12 carcasses and what was left of a Case DC and got $185 for them at the scrap yard. I'm no wizard in economics, but I think I came out ahead. I'm just trying to clean my place up a little. I would have gladly sold the parts to someone if there was a buyer out there that would step up and ask.

So arrest me because there is a lot more F-12 parts going to the scrap dealer maybe today.

If you have antique tractor parts for sale, you need to advertise them nationally. I've never seen or heard of the Western Antique Iron Trader. Put your parts for sale right here on YT, or maybe even ebay.

This is about as national as it gets. YT mag does not allow parting out ads so if they allow this reply I will let everyone know that I have F-12 parts for sale. E-mail me with any questions dlmjs@e-isco.com.

They do allow you to say I have lots of parts for an F-12 or various F-12 parts for sale or even I have a F-12 for sale good for parts only.

Running F-20 with electric starter, usable tires, and some spare parts tractor for $400.00- good price now. cleanup a bit, check out other tractor to see if it can be brought back to usable. I have AC type wheels/tires on mine- easier to find. RN.

They were worth at least double that price. You got a good deal.
