I am a little senile and cannot remember who on here suggested that I use a dent puller to get out oil seals--I really need to thank them--THANK YOU. I just walked in here for lunch from the shop. The dent puller took exactly 4 minutes to pull the brother to the seal that it took me 45 minutes AND A LOT OF AGGRIVTION to get out a day or two ago.

The mention of vice grips reminds me of a painfull experience which my employees remember with glee. I was changing the battery on my Massey 165 (yeah I know but at least it is red) and needed vice grips to hold the square end of the clamp bolt. I cranked up the adjustment of the vice grip real good and locked onto the bolt head. Unfortunately I also grabbed the fleshy bit of my hand between thumb and fore finger with the vice grip handle. There was no way I could release it with my free hand. There I was clamped to my tractor. I waved to some of my guys who came into view and they just waved back and carried on working. It was a good 20 minutes before Someone finally came to my rescue. One of my dumber moments.

My favorite attachment is the vise grips..ya take the adjustment bolt out of the vise grips and put the new one in that attaches to the slide hammer..darn handy, anything you can clamp in vise grips, you can bang on with the hammer.. I even use the vise grips for a dent puller,I weld common nails in my dents, then clamp my vise grips on the nail and pull it out..then grind the nail off..
