On my newly purchased but not yet running Super A, there is an unusual device on the side of the magneto that I can't identify. It slides back and forth about 1/4" and has a makeshift wire attached to it. This wire then runs back to the steering support where it is tied in a knot. I'm thinking that this magneto device is some type of an electrical cut-off switch that the past owner jury rigged with an easy pull wire. Since I haven't gotten the tractor running yet I haven't been able to figure it out. An ideas out there? I have a picture but am too much of a klutz to figure how to attach it to this posting.

It's a mechanical "kill" switch operated by a cable.
